The paperwork is done and Cowpatty is back in business.  Thanks to all of our loyal friends and customers who hung in there over the past couple of years.  We look forward to seeing you soon!!!  A fun and relaxing place to stop and enjoy an ice cold beer or soda and Richard's world-famous hot dogs.  Lots of  locals to practice your Spanish with and English is spoken.  The clean restrooms are truly a "jewel" to find in the desert.

150 miles south of the U.S/Mexico border town of Calexico.   Cowpatty overlooks the scenic Sea of Cortez at Km 72 (south of San Felipe),  2 miles north of Puertecitos.  The recently paved road makes the trip about an hour's drive from San Felipe.  If you like remote beaches and getting away from the tourist areas, you'll love the Cowpatty.

Welcome to the official COWPATTY web site. Cowpatty began around 1997 as an idea of Cowpatty (Patti) and Richard to have a place for locals and tourists to gather and enjoy food, drink and the beauty of Baja.  Richard  designed and built the structure located at Campo Serena, kilometer 72 on the San Felipe-Puertecitos highway and a new, very small business evolved.  The COWPATTY was opened in 1999 after two long years of negotiation, collaboration, and miles of travel between Ensenada, Mexicali and San Felipe .

Richard and Beth now operate the Cowpatty and Patti manages this web site.   Richard's vision of having a great place to visit in the middle of the desert has brought a nice addition to this quiet Baja community.
